Robin Athey

Robin has over 30 years of experience as an executive, coach, consultant, facilitator, thought leader and purpose guide. She has worked with thousands of people from many walks of life — individuals, teams, groups and organizations.

Her organizational clients have included ABB, Microsoft, Banco Santander, Eli Lilly, Fujitsu, Cole Haan / Nike, IDEO and Girl Scouts USA. She has consulted to the Italian, Jamaican, and former Soviet governments. Her coaching clients have included executives, entrepreneurs, consultants, engineers, scientists, political organizers, and a former head-of-state.

For nine years, Robin was Research Director at Deloitte, where she led the firm’s global research on the human aspects of organizational performance. In addition to being a thought leader, she also served as an advisor and executive coach within the firm. Her work on talent strategy, leadership, learning and collaborative networks helped generate millions of dollars and led to new services in Deloitte’s consulting practice.

Prior to Deloitte, Robin led global production as Vice-President of Cole-Haan, a subsidiary of Nike. She began her career as a strategy and operations consultant with Kurt Salmon Associates.

Robin has been a Fellow at Harvard University, a Fellow with Oxford Leadership Academy, a Consultant with Harthill UK and sat on the board of the UN Association. She has lived around the globe and worked in 28 countries across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the former Soviet Union. Her work has been published at the World Economic Forum and cited in media such as The Economist, ABC World News, BBC News, The Times, Investors’ Business Daily, and The Globe and Mail. She has presented and led roundtables at The Conference Board, Harvard, MIT, INSEAD, Babson, University of Virginia, Braintrust, KM Asia and other venues.

Robin’s work bridges Western practicality and Eastern wisdom. She holds a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, an M.A. in International Economic Policy from Columbia University, and an Advanced Certificate in Organizational Development and HR from Columbia University and the University of Michigan. Robin has been a committed practitioner of meditation and yoga for 20 years. She lives in the USA, Brazil and India.
