Robin Athey

Robin guides leaders and start-ups who are committed to being a force for positive change in the world. She helps them to get clear about their purpose; align their direction and priorities; shift habits and limiting beliefs; build stronger, more authentic relationships; and sustainably change and grow.

Robin has been exploring the human journey for 35 years as an executive coach, consultant, facilitator and thought leader. Her curiosity has led her to live, work and travel in 29 countries and to plumb the depths of our humanity through deep study with many teachers, east and west.

She has worked with thousands of people from many walks of life — individuals, teams, groups and organizations. Along the way, she has learned a lot, especially about the limitations of her assumptions, through the relationships she has developed, and the diversity of perspectives that she has encountered.

Robin’s organizational clients have included ABB, Microsoft, Banco Santander, Eli Lilly, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Florida Power, Hanes, Chantelle, Cole Haan / Nike and Girl Scouts USA. She has consulted to the Italian, Jamaican, and former Soviet governments. Her coaching clients have included executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, political organizers, consultants, coaches, and a former head-of-state.

Robin teaches the core MBA class ‘Leading Individuals and Groups’ at Simmons School of Management.

She has been a fellow at Harvard University and sat on the board of the UN Association.

For 9 years, Robin was Research Director at Deloitte, where she led the firm’s global research on the human aspects of organizational performance. She also served as an advisor and executive coach in the firm. Her work and ideas helped to generate millions in revenue for Deloitte and led to two new practice areas. She presented at conferences and led executive roundtables in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Her work was published at the World Economic Forum and cited in major media such as the Economist, ABC World News, The Times and Investors’ Business Daily.

Prior to Deloitte, Robin led global production as Vice- President of Cole-Haan, a subsidiary of Nike. She began her career as a strategy and operations consultant with Kurt Salmon, where she lived and worked in the Americas, Europe, West Indies and former Soviet Union.

Robin holds a B.S. in Engineering; an M.A. in International Economic Policy; an Advanced Certificate in Organizational Development and HR.

She has graduated in many leading-edge modalities of coaching, leadership, team and group dynamics, adult development, somatic psychotherapy and trauma. She is a certified Purpose Guide™, and integrates training in Hakomi, Leadership Embodiment, Ontological Coaching, Somatic Experiencing, NARM (developmental trauma), DARe, The Leadership Circle, Integral Circling, Immunity to Change, NLP, Shadow Work, Clean Language, Core Transformation, Art of Hosting, Structural Dynamics, Theory U and the Enneagram.

Robin has practiced meditation and yoga for 21 years.
